About
Hey, it's Meg.

Thanks for stopping by. I am a nonbinary mixed media artist living in Asheville, NC and I am absolutely obsessed with Polaroid.
The unpredictability of instant film is a large part of its appeal for me. Slight imperfections in the film or during development impact the image in ways I feel enhance the moment.
An instant photo locks a moment in time, a memory, as a tactile object. You not only remember what is in the image, but taking the photo itself. Instead of being amongst hundreds or thousands of other shots in a phone camera roll, it takes up physical space and exists just for the sake of existing.
I believe this is truly unique to the medium and something I am passionate about sharing with others.

I almost always carry my SX-70 with me. My loved ones assure me it is not annoying at all...
